Originally built in 1941, the Norton Museum or Art underwent a $100 million renovation which adds 60,000 square feet of new or renovated space giving the museum 12,000 square feet of new gallery space, a sculpture garden, a new indoor/outdoor restaurant, a streamlined circulation plan, an education center, and a 3,600-square-foot spectacular lobby space decked out with a piano and Saarinen-designed chairs and a beautiful courtyard in the middle of it all.

With exhibitions from European, American and Chinese art including special exhibitions and photography, the Norton Museum will become an inspirational and educational gathering space for the community, as well as a tourist destination and an institution that serious art collectors would view as a future home for their collection.
